Disneyland!!!

We finally made it back! And this time, with Lindsay in tow...(maybe she was leading the charge, it was hard to tell sometimes). We had a great time with Ed, Andrea, Jack and Will! Lindsay loved the rides, but couldn't get on the next one fast enough. She was definitely not a fan of the increased restrictions to her freedom, (being strapped in a stroller or stuck in Mom or Dad's arms) but we managed. Here's day one.

The first place we went was the Redwood challenge trail in California Adventure. We hadn't been here for several years, and it's pretty awesome. Especially for our wiggly little friend who's not afraid of anything.

Heights? Not a problem. This was the highest rope bridge and she loved looking down at the people below.

Slides? That's cool.

Again!

Look Mom! There's a river there!

Lindsay was excited to see Doug from SQUIRREL......
Then we moved on across the park and pier to Toy Story (sorry, no pictures)  and then Lindsay kept pointing at the carousel, so we gave it a try and Ed, Andrea, Jack and Will  joined us.
Getting ready to go! Jack is ready behind us!
No hands!!

Next up... Flik's fun fair! I think Lindsay really enjoyed these rides, but it was hard to tell because she was getting so tired...We left home Monday morning around 6, thinking that she would sleep in the car on the way up. I think she knew something exciting was happening because she slept not a wink (which of course makes for a very grumpy monster by mid-afternoon).

Ed, Will (still trying to figure this whole ride thing out) Andrea and Jack

We got a little smile on the chew chew train.

Update...

Thanksgiving dinner...

Snow at Sea World (it's as close as we're gonna get to real snow)

Rides at Sea World, she was a bit nervous at first, but loved it after about the second time around

Christmas tree and stockings. Notice the ornaments, definitely not worth the fight to keep the whole tree decorated.

Christmas dress

Stair decorations

Climbing, climbing, climbing

Loves the beach and the sand

But Mom! I don't care that the wave almost drowned me, let me go back!

Return of the Jedi

Last year at Halloween we didn't do a whole lot. We weren't sure early in October when Lindsay would arrive and therefore didn't buy a costume for her and after she was born there wasn't much left. So this year we planned ahead. We decided she should be an ewok (because really what's cuter?) So Chris and I were Luke and Leia from the forest in Endor and Lindsay was our ewok companion. Pretty darn cute if you ask me!

After all the effort that it took to get the costumes ready, we put them to good use. We went to two different ward trunk or treats and made a special visit to Chris at work on Halloween.

ONE

I can't believe it has been a year already. Lindsay is amazing! I love watching her figure things out and am amazed at how much she understands what is going on around her.

New shoes to explore outside. Pure joy.

New outfit from Grandma and Grandpa Waite

Puppy from Grandma and Grandpa Larson (with the 'O' face that we see a lot right now)

Princess cupcakes

the 'O' face again

New favorite, climbing as high as she can get and standing.

Bubbles...

We'll work on the bubbles, but she sure is cute!

The Lindsayfish

So Lindsay and I took swimming lessons. For myriad reasons, but mostly to make sure I'm
comfortable going into the water with her and able to teach her until she can take real lessons when she's 3, and also because it was something fun to do with her. Here are a couple of pictures from our last day.
Getting ready to go into the water...

She'll even try to blow bubbles, something to keep working on.

Kick kick kick!

She's not upset, just excited and yelling about being in the water.

I think she's going to miss going swimming every day...

Eight Months

It's crazy to think that Lindsay is eight months old. It's definitely been a wild eight months.

She now weighs over 18 pounds and loves to eat anything I put in front of her and a lot that she finds on her own.

She has one tooth all the way in and its neighbor just starting to poke through.

She crawls and pulls herself up to standing on just about anything she can grab on to.

Busy Day

Lindsay had a very busy day today. This afternoon she mastered sitting up from being on her stomach.

Tonight, while getting ready for bed she started moving forward.

I guess nothing is safe from the monster now.

Master Suite

We started with a green wall in the master bedroom.

And changed it to a dark red.

The master closet when we bought it.
And after being recarpeted and some of our clothes added.

Living Room

Another fire engine red wall.  We got rid of the bright red and painted the big wall a nice gray green to calm things down while still adding color. I will update the posts when I get some pictures taken with all of the furniture in place.
